M2KR proudly welcomes KUTHATHU to our growing family of producers and remixers who pay tribute to many South African legends that came out of the 90's pioneering label MELT2000 (Musical Energy & Loud Truth beyond 2000). Kuthathu has chosen to remix a massively popular track by the late SA Jazz legend Moses Taiwa Molelekwa whose work spanned many genres from Jazz to Kwaito. The original Down Rockey Street is beyond what was called Jazz in the mid 90's. Having travelled to the UK with BARUNGWA this is Taiwa's cumulation of influences from the Kwaito beats of Joburg to the many EC2 London styles that became popular around that time from Acid Jazz to Drum n'Bass or Garage.

KUTHATHU whose real name is Thabani Ncube is a Professional DJ, Artist, Producer, Mix Engineer and Music Lecturer born in Estcourt, a historic industrial and agricultural town located in the uThukela District of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He was raised in the heart of the Joburg Inner city. KUTHATHU's first attempt into music was being a drummer in primary school and later joining the high School choir. He then joined the Soul Candi Music Academy at Boston Media House to fulfil his dream into becoming a professional musician.

KUTHATHU is one of South Africa's rising Stars who worked with artist such as K-MAT and others. He shakes up SA's biggest clubs by mixing genres such as Afro House, Afrotech, Deep House & Soulful House. His single "Khanyisela" which is available on all digital platforms is a Afro house 3 step track. The song has reached 1 Million streams on Spotify and continues to grow further.
