BLAQ SOUL Vol. 4 is a journey with !Gube, the late healer and Bushman who lived in Namibia on the edge of the Kalahari Desert. Some 22,000 years ago, the Khoisan were the largest group of humans on earth: a tribe of hunter-gatherers on the Southern African tip of the continent.
In 1995 Pops Mohamed with label boss Robert Trunz and his team embarked on a trip to the Kalahari to record the songs and sounds of the Khoisan people for Pops solo album "How Far We Have Come"
The raw footage recorded on a portable Stereo DAT was later released on CD called The Bushmen Of The Kalahari. Soon after Phil Meadley started a remix project with the raw recordings and we called it SANSCAPES. An international team of the finest producers and DJ's contributed remixes to aid Bushman elder !Gubi and his family.
