Micr.Pluto (Pronounced Micro Pluto) is a South African electronic music producer and artist known for his innovative and experimental approach to music. With eclectic sound, visuals and a pioneering spirit, He is known for his unique style, which deconstructs and combines elements
of hip-hop, electronica, and indegenous music. Creating a futuristic, contemporary and sometimes retrospective style of music production. Over the past decade he has released, produced and collaborated on albums and videos, profile, reviewed,and premiered on global media platforms such as Afropunk, OkayAfrica, Redbull as well as enjoyed performances alongside international acts such as Masego, Tom Misch, Darkstar, Mndsgn and british mc Skepta.

Beyond his creative outlet, his eye for talent incubation, and curation lead him to being the founder of Subterranean Wavelength (A Johannesburg based arts collective and independent label) which was affectionately dubbed “a hub for experimental and leftfield African electronica in Sub-Saharan Africa” as phrased by Bandcamp. Through the years he would borrow his various skills in Creative Direction, Visual Art and Music Technology towards building a creative outlet which would become a houselhold name in the mid 2010’s in and around Johannesburg.
His collaborative spirit would spark various creative pursuits, resulting in collaborations with artists, including Morena Leraba, Thamsanqa Vuthela, Daev Martian, Thor Rixon, Spoek Mathambo, Mikhaela Faye, Chee and KAJAMA, fostering a sense of community and pushing the boundaries of South African electronic music. Micr.Pluto would later on venture into Brand Partnerships with various leading brands such as Redbull, Converse and eventually becoming a brand ambassador for global sportswear brand Puma. From local clubs in downtown Johannesburg, nationwide tours, to the biggest art gatherings such as Oppikoppi, Rocking the Daisies, Design Indaba, CTEMF, Redbull Music Weekender, Fak’Ugesi and BOMA(Germany)
He has left a lasting impact on audiences with his electrifying live beat performances, and an uncanny sound selection with his DJ sets.

Through Subterranean Wavelength and his collaborations, Micr.Pluto has brought together a community of artists who share his vision and passion for innovation, bending rules and pushing boundaries in an ever evolving space. Currently Micr.Pluto continues working as both a Sound
and Visual Arts practitioner on audio visual projects for both clients, and his label, as well as his collaborative live art project with Ethno -Jazz band Thamsanqa Vuthela.
