Bongani Sessionist is a percussionist, DJ and producer from South Africa. His musical path started on the streets of Soweto, where he grew up hearing a wide mix of local and international sounds. Those early years shaped his ear, and he went on to master three crafts: playing percussion, mixing records and producing music.

He is one of the country's most sought-after percussionists, known for his ability to play along with almost any genre. As a DJ, he chooses and blends tracks with care, reading the room and shaping the night as it unfolds. As a producer, he has developed a sound of his own, which comes through clearly in his released work. That includes two solo projects and a collaborative album with Just Jam.

Bongani has performed alongside Black Coffee, Oskido, Charles Webster, Vick Lavender and Ralf Gum. His work has taken him across Southern Africa, to the Seychelles, Côte d'Ivoire and the United Arab Emirates, where he has built a reputation for confident, engaging performances.
