About Album

Dr Feel, originally from Zimbabwe, is a prominent figure in the Afro House and Tech music scene, currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Known for his diversity, experience, and talent, Dr Feel’s expertise allows him to produce various genres of music, catering to different artists’ needs.

This talent of being at home with different genres was the basis of this remix project for M2KR (MELT2000 Revisited) where Dr Feel was given a wide choice to remix tracks from some of the finest South African artists spanning the period from 1994 – 2010

Dr Feel has received recognition on platforms like Traxsource, Spotify, Apple Music, and Beatport, where his tracks have been featured on various charts and playlists. His social media presence has steadily grown, aiding in the promotion of his work and campaigns. Notable accomplishments include being regularly featured on Black Coffee’s “Spotify Track ID playlist,” having his tracks featured on Spotify covers like Mint South Africa, AfroTech Now, and Afro House Pulse, and contributing to Metro FM and 5FM playlists. Dr Feel has released over 10 EPs and more than 200 singles to date, establishing himself as a prolific artist in the Afro House genre.


1. Mam Busi’s Father of My Children – Dr Feel Remix
Genre: Amapiano

The original track Yise Wabant’a Bami is by Busi Mhlongo from the album Urbanzulu.

Busi Mhlongo’s impact has resonated deeply with notable South African musicians such as Black Coffee, Black Motion, and Culoe de Song, who have all remixed her songs or featured her in their work. Father of My Children features Busi Mhlongo and Congolese singer-songwriter Lokua Kanza.

2. Doc’s Naledi – Dr. Feel Remix
Genre: Afro House

Robert Doc Mthalane’s song Naledi is a classic from the collaborative album Respect. During the 1980’s Doc Mthalane was known as the Jimi Hendrix of South Africa. He was a jazz/folk music legend, songwriter and guitarist for Busi Mhongo featuring on her 1990 album Babhemu. The album Respect was released after the premature passing of Doc Mthalane on which Busi Mhlongo dedicated the song Respect to his lasting memory. Respect is a collaboration album with Doc, Madala Kunene and Mabi Gabriel Thobejane. The album was reviewed in 2006 years after its release.

3. Phuza Face by Bafo – Dr Feel Remix

4. Tulear Mozika – Dr Feel feat Mario Cee Remix
Genre: Afro House

Acapella Trio Sa Roy is from the southern tip of Madagascar. Tulear Mozika is a remix from their album Pelakolo which features London based Mario Cee. The trio’s leader Soaraza Patrice Thomas is a talented singer/song writer, dancer and multi instrumentalist who produced the album with Swiss bass player and violinist Matthias Abaecherli.

5. L.A.P. & Stiff Pap’s Ubuhle – Dr Feel Remix
Genre: 3 Steps/Afro House

L.A.P. are Bafana Nhlapo, Frank Magongwa, Gontse Makhene & Zwelakhe Zwana aka Ragga. The group is pure percussive and pulsating drum energy that picks you up and invites you to join the heartbeat of Africa – the drum. Ubuhle is from L.A.P.’s album “Stiff Pap and the Gang”
